A bite for all
As you drive uphill toward Kupondole height, Summit Hotel stands as a landmark. It welcomes you into its spacious property with a beautiful green garden area with lounge and bar and fine dining hall. The amazing hospitality of the hotel never fails to please guests. As we step into the lobby we are escorted toward the dining area. Fresh watermelon juice welcomes us and then a variety of dishes are laid on our table.
Pomodoro mozzarella bruschetta
A unique combination of grilled French bread, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, olive oil and oregano. It is crispy and light.
Indira’s verdict
“Pomodoro mozzarella bruschetta is a treat to the eyes and a feast for the tummy! I love the crispiness of whole ingredients.”
Mezzeh platter with salad nicoise
and tingmo soup
The platter has babaganoush, fattoush, tabouleh, hummus, falafel with pita bread served with fresh salad and soup.
Indira’s verdict
“It is a great starter for me. The tuna fillet makes it salty and there is something else adding a touch of sour to it. Chicken stock is the dominant flavour in Tingmo soup and the flat chillies make it a bit spicy.”
Chicken tikka and olive focaccia
Chicken tikka mixed with creamy cheese and olives.
Indira’s verdict
“Olive gives it a sour taste and the saltiness of the cheese blends well with the chicken tikka. It is soft to bite and very filling.”
A flame chicken fillet topped with mayonnaise, cheese, grilled pineapple, gherkins, tomato and salad.
Indira’s verdict
“Grilled pineapple and rosemary stand out giving it an aromatic touch. It’s a bit spicy as well. Regular chicken burger lovers must try this out for a different taste.”
It is a cake based dessert with coffee liquid, creamy cheese, rum and dusted off with coca-powder. Orange bombe is one of the signature desserts of Summit Hotel served in a decorative orange casing.
Indira’s verdict
“The taste of creamy cheese and coffee is distinct. Not too sweet. Orange bombe deserves brownie points as the fresh flavour of orange and ice cream teases your palate with a unique taste.”
Overall Verdict
Each dish I had today left a lovely taste in my mouth. It was a treat for the eyes and worked wonders for the palate. Hospitality is commendable and I would love to pay another visit soon!
