KATHMANDU: The first-ever Nabin Kalashree prize is to be presented to artist Kiran Manandhar by Artist Chettra Lal Kayastha Academy, Pokhara.
Manandhar is receiving the prize for his special contribution to the art sector. It carries a purse of Rs. 50,000 and a copper plaque.
According to Vice-chair of the Academy Niraj Kayastha, this is the first time that the prize is being awarded and it will be given in every two years.
The prize will be presented at the art exhibition titled ‘Kalayatra-76’ that will begin on November 17 at Nepal Art Council, Babar Mahal.
