Nilam Karki Niharika, Shanta Das Manandhar win prestigious awards

KATHMANDU: Author, novelist and poet Nilam Karki Niharika and veteran author Shanta Das Manandhar have bagged this year’s Madan Puraskar and Jagadamba Shree awards respectively.

Madan Puraskar Guthi on Monday decided to honour Nilam Karki Niharika’s ‘Yogmaya’ with Nepal’s most prestigious literary award.

Likewise, the Guthi also decided to honour Shanta Das Manandhar with this year’s Jagadamba Shree award, according to Kunda Dixit, Guthi’s Chairman.

Dixit made the announcement on Twitter today.
