Auto industry geared up for the festive season

With festivals just around the corner, the domestic automobile dealers are geared up to provide special offers to attract their customers.

With the introduction of exciting festive offers, dealers are confident about the increase in sales during this festive season.

Majority of four-wheeler brands have come up with cash discount offer for upcoming Dashain and Tihar while some have offered sure shot gifts with free accessories with the purchase of a vehicle.

“Our theme for the festive offer is ‘Espali ko chad, Tata ko car’ where we are offering gift hampers and services on the purchase of our products,” said Prabin Khatiwada, General Manager, Sipradi Trading, authorised distributor of Tata, adding that gift hampers and services include — Yamaha Fascino, FZs-Fi, cash discounts and auto loans with low interest rates.

This scheme is available across segments in their product range.

According to him, every year during the festive season the four-wheeler industry accounts almost 40 per cent

of the total sales. “We look forward to selling 2,500 units this year and are optimistic that the festive scheme will play a major role in boosting sales.

With these attractive schemes we expect to get higher product enquiries, more showroom footfall and boost in sales,” he informed.

“We have cash discount up to Rs 800,000, one sure shot gift ranging from Samsung gear, Canon SLR camera, Samsung LED TV, iPhone 6S+, Vespa, KTM Duke to free accessories on the purchase of our products,” said Sunil B Chhetri, Deputy GM, GO Automobiles, authorised distributor of Ford.

He informed that these festive schemes contribute to sales by increasing the number of inquiries and generates interest among consumers.

“We plan to sell around 500 units during the festivals,” said Chhetri. He further added that most consumers wait for festive offers to buy a vehicle of their choice.

Karan Chaudhary, Executive Director, CG MotoCorp, authorised distributor of Maruti Suzuki said, “This festive season we have introduced ‘Suzuki Parvotsav’ offer.

Under this scheme, on the purchase of our products customers can avail cash discounts up to Rs 200,000, one year free insurance, exchange bonus, full tank petrol and free service consumables for year in road tax.”

He believes that during festive time the demand for vehicles is high and expects to sell around 3,000 units by the end of this year. “The main objective of the scheme is to attract demand especially during Dashain and Tihar.

We have introduced schemes in Suzuki cars that focus on delivering higher benefit to all customers at the point of purchase for their benefit,” he added.
