KATHMANDU: President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping arrived in Kathmandu for his two-day state visit to Nepal. Upon his arrival, President Bidya Devi Bhandari welcomed and received him at Tribhuvan International Airport. A squad from Nepal Army formed the guard of honour while President Bhandari accompanied her Chinese counterpart along the red carpet.

President Xi is visiting Nepal at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Bhandari.

This is the visit of the Chinese President to Nepal in the long gap of 23 years.
