In pics: A day in the lives of STIDH health-workers

KATHMANDU: Teku-based Sukraraaj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital (STIDH) which was established as centre for treating COVID-19 cases has been successfully providing quality care to the patients.

Following the detection of the virus in country around ten months ago, the government had declared STIDH as the pioneer centre for treatment and testing related to the ailment.

The centre is equipped with modern life supporting ventilators among others items required in the treatment of severe patients.

Ever since, a team led by Dr Anup Bastola has been involved in the treatment of the infected individuals referred to the centre from across the country.

STIDH not only provides treatment including critical care, it also conducts PCR (polymerese chain reaction) tests to detect the virus from the collected samples.
