KATHMANDU: A person was killed and another was critically injured after falling off a motorcycle they were riding on in Bardibas Municipality-5 of Mahottari district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Narendra Chaudhary (35) and critically injured as Bimalesh Chaudhary (30) of Basantapur-1 in Sarlahi district.

Chaudhary duo riding the motorcycle (Ba 45 Pa 4570) heading in an eastward direction fell on the road at Madaha Bridge along the East-West Highway, according to the District Police Office.

The injured were rushed to the Bardibas-based Janasewa Hospital where Chaudhary breathed his last during the course of treatment while other one is in critical condition, unable to speak, informed the District Police Office.

It is yet to ascertain whether the deceased was riding the front seat or the pillion, said police.

Meanwhile, police are investigating into the case.
