CHITWAN: A person was killed and another was critically injured after a vehicle hit the motorcycle they were riding on in Jalbire along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section in Chitwan district on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as pillion rider Jagabindra Dhaulakoti (39) of Bheri Ganga in Surkhet district and injured as rider Neel Bahadur Pariyar of Chapur in Rautahat district.

The incident occurred after the motorcycle (Ba 67 Pa 6195) heading towards Narayangadh from Muglin was hit by an unidentified vehicle this morning, according to the Muglin-based Area Police Office (APO).

Pariyar is currently being treated at the Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur, informed the APO.

Meanwhile, police have impounded a tanker in suspicion of hitting the motorcycle and carried out the investigation.
