KATHMANDU: A person died and another was injured in a bus-truck collision in Buddhabatika-5 of Kapilvastu on Wednesday.

Hirasingh Pun (23) of Dang, who was travelling in the bus, was killed in the accident.

The bus (Na 5 Kha 1690) collided head-on with the unidentified truck at around 2:45 am today.

Chandra Bahadur BK (50) was injured in the incident.

He is being treated at the Butwal-based Lumbini Zonal Hospital.

The Area Police Office, Gorusinghe, has impounded the bus and arrested its driver for investigation.

Police said that they are searching for the truck driver who fled the scene after the incident.
