KATHMANDU: A person died and 10 others were injured in a jeep accident at kamalpokhari, Argali-9 in Palpa district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Basant Bahadur Karki (52) of Musikot-5, in Gulmi district.

Karki breathed his last during the course of treatment at a health facility in Palpa.

The incident occurred when the four-wheeler (Lu 1 Ja 2448) heading towards Gulmi from Butwal, Rupandehi went out of control and hit a wall at around 4 pm yesterday.

Those injured in the accident are being treated at different hospitals in the district, said police.

Police have impounded the jeep and arrested its driver for further investigation.
