1 killed, 6 injured in Sindhuli jeep fall

KATHMANDU: A person died on the spot and six others sustained injuries in a jeep accident in Golanjor Rural Municipality-7 of Sindhuli district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as the jeep driver Ram Hari Das (24) of Namdu, Baiteshwor Rural Municipality-6 in Dolakha district.

The jeep (Na 1 Ja 4935) plunged 15 feet below the Bhalukhola Bridge onto the bank of the rivulet of Sunkoshi, killing its driver and injuring six passengers at around 12:15 pm today, according to police.

The incident occurred when the speeding four-wheeler was en route to Dolakha from Kathmandu with seven persons on board.

Meanwhile, all of the injured are being treated at the Sunkoshi Community Hospital in Khurkot of Sindhuli.
