BARA: At least 10 villagers were injured following a dispute over a land in Prastoka Belahariya VDC of Bara on Saturday. Diplal Mahato, Nathuniraut Barai, Khedu Sahani, Daroga Mahato, Om Prakash Chaurasiya, Hridayanarayan Chaurasiya, Subedar Raut, Dhanapatiya Devi, Gani Mahato, Jagadish Mahato and Hira Sahani were among the injured, the police said. The injured villagers are undergoing treatment in Kalaiya hospital. The clash had ensued between the supporters of Jagdish Mahato and Jamuna Mahato of the same VDC after a dispute over two bighas of land. The locals said the police had fired in the air once and had detonated a grenade to disperse the unruly crowd.
