100pc children admitted to schools in Panchthar

Panchthar has become the first district to make student enrolment campaign fully successful in the country.

All children between the ages of five and 12 years in the district have been admitted to schools.

The second phase of school enrolment campaign was launched three months ago to admit all children out of schools by September 16. During the campaign, the district has admitted 94 children at the basic level.

District Coordination Committee Chief Bishnu Prasad Sapkota said that no children in Panchthar were now out of school. According to District Education Coordination and Development Unit Chief Yugmani Sabehang, 28 students were admitted in Phidim Municipality, six in Yangbarak Rural Municipality, seven at Falelung, four at Falgunand Municipality, 12 at Kummayak Rural Municipality, seven at Tumbeba and 24 at Miklajong Rural Municipality.
