DAMAULI: Eleven passengers were injured when a passenger bus turned turtle after coming into contact with a naked electric wire in Tanahun district on Wednesday.

The bus went into the reverse for 100 metres and overturned after the nake wire hanging from a utility pole touched a metal sheet on the bus roof, according to District Traffic Police Office.

One of the passengers, identified as 60-year-old Jhaka Lal BK has received severe injuries. He has been admitted to the Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara.

Others were treated at Ratnahari Hospital in Damauli.

Police have taken the bus driver in custody.

The bus was heading to Seratar from Damauli when the accident occurred.
