12 government buildings recommended for key provincial offices

As many as 12 government buildings have been recommended for key provincial-level offices of Province 1 in Biratnagar, Morang.
A feasibility study team of the government recommended those buildings for setting up ministries for the second time. This time the report was submitted through Building Construction and Urban Development Division Office. The first report was submitted one-and-a-half months ago.
Following the provincial and parliamentary elections, feasibility study teams including regional administration offices had conducted a study of various office buildings in Morang, Sunsari and Dhankuta for the same and submitted separate reports to the centre.
As per the reports sent to the centre, Biratnagar is said to be most convenient place for the provincial capital on the basis of the physical infrastructures and resources. The study team has estimated Rs 420 million for repair and renovation of the 12 office buildings recommended for ministries and residence of the provincial executive.
The second report has proposed the Regional Agriculture Directorate building as the office and residence of chief minister while the building of Office of the Food Technology and Research Lab was recommended for the office and residence of the chief minister in the first report.
Likewise, District Coordination Committee Office building has been recommended for the offices of province secretariat, speaker and deputy speaker. The office of the regional livestock directorate has been proposed for the office and residence of province chief while regional irrigation directorate as office and residence of chief secretary.
The report recommended Industry Development Branch, Morang, Regional Food Technology and Standard Control Office and District Public Health Office for ministries.
