BAJHANG: Police apprehended 12 persons with possession of hashish from various places of Bajhang district on Wednesday.

According to the Regional Police Office, Dipayal, nine persons were arrested from Matela-8 of the distrtict.

The suspects have been identified as Lala Bahadur Bohara and Binod Bohara of Daulichaur-9, Jaya Bahadur Jethara and Lokendra Bohara of Surma-8, Gajendra Bohara of Surma-7, Ram Lal Upadhyay of Surma-5, Hari Sarki of Kandel-5, Bibek Raj Upadhyay and Prem Raj Bohara of Bhamchaur-2.

Police said that they also confiscated Rs 16,000 in cash from their possession.

Likewise, Aprej Dhami of Lekgaun-6 was also arrested with hashish.

Police said that Dhami was nabbed with possession of 1.5 kg hashish during a security check.

Similarly, police detained Shiva Raj Chalaune (20) and Harka Budha (19) of Lekgaun-7 with 5.7 kg hashish.

The duo were nabbed from a bus (Na 4 Kha 422) heading towards Dhangadhi from Bajhan, police informed.

Police said that they were kept at the District Police Office, Bajhang for investigation.
