RAUTAHAT: As many as 12 persons have been injured in a bus accident at Lamaha along the East-West Highway in Rautahat district today.

The ill-fated bus (Na 5 Ta 4562) with 25 passengers on board was heading to Janakpur from Pokhara before the incident, Chandranigahapur Area Police Office said.

The bus lost control and overturned some metres away from the road after sudden burst of a tyre at Lamahajungle area along Nijgadh-Chandranigahapur section this afternoon.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shanti Raj Koirala, one victim is in critical condition.

Meanwhile, all the injured passengers are undergoing treatment at Chandranigahapur Hospital.
