MORANG: Around 120 tankers carrying petroleum products for Nepal have stranded at Jogbani of India after the Indian officials refused customs clearance at the entry points.
Basudev Bhandari, Assistant Manager at the Regional Office of the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), informed that the tankers carrying 1.46 million litres of diesel and 584,000 litres of petrol from Barauni of India have been blocked due to dillydallying of the Indian customs officials.
The NOC Regional Office further said that the stock of petroleum products has dwindled in absence of supplies.
Around 2,000 trucks and other vehicles carrying goods have been stranded in Jogbani on the Indian side, informed Biratnagar Customs Office.
