13 hurt as bus rams microbus in Dhading

DHADING: At least 13 persons sustained injuries after a passenger bus collided with a microbus in Thakre Rural Municipality-1 of Dhading district today morning.

According to Dhading District Police Office, the bus (Lu 2 Kha 2134) en route from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa rammed the microbus (Ba 5 Kha 3151) en route from Chitwan to Kathmandu, at Khayarghari, at around 8:00 am today. The microbus bounced as it hit the bus and plunged 25 metres into Mahesh River injuring 13 persons aboard, police informed.

The injured have been sent to Kathmandu-based Trauma Centre for treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, Khanikhola-based Area Police Office has impounded the bus and detained its driver Ankit Regmi (23) of Bardaghat Municipality-7 in Nawalparasi district for further investigation.
