15 LPG bullets enter

Bhairahawa, November 1

At least 15 bullets carrying liquefied petroleum gas entered Nepal via Rupandehi’s Belahiya on Sunday.

The bullets were rerouted to the Bhairahawa border, as they could not be brought via Raxaul-Birgunj border due to the blockade imposed by the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front.

Dinesh Yadav, western regional chief of Nepal Oil Corporation, said the bullets entered from Bhairahawa border point after acquiring re-routing permission.

According to him, around 25 bullets are likely to enter Nepal via the border until Sunday evening. Bhairahawa Revenue Office informed that trucks carrying fuel, food items, and raw materials among others have been entering through the Belhiya border without any obstruction.

However, no vehicle ferrying fuel entered Nepal via Jhapa’s Kakarbhitta border point on Sunday. Durga Kumar Bhattarai of Mechi Revenue Office said a total of 38 trucks and containers carrying other goods entered the country via the border.
