Kavre, July 20:

Police today briefly arrested sixteen persons, including a journalist, from the premises of an examination centre in Dhulikhel on charge of aiding examinees cheat in the first day of the SLC supplementary exams.

They were released later in the presence of the Kavre CDO on condition that they would never again get involved in such activities.

Binod Poudyal, a journalist, was also arrested. He, however, said he was taking pictures of the students who were involved in cheating.

Earlier, students were seen confused to find their exam centres as the exam centres fixed by the District Education Office had fixed sub-centres on their own.
