1,669 vehicle operators booked

Traffic Police have taken action against as many as 1,669 vehicle operators in the past five months in Lamjung district.

According to District Traffic Police Office Chief Krishna Bahadur Chhetri, the drivers operating without licence, bill book and other legal documents, those breaching traffic rules, and driving under the influence of alcohol, among others, were charged.

The office collected Rs 6.57 lakh in revenue from the penalty during the period.

As many as 599 vehicle operators were booked from mid-July to mid-August, 458 from mid-August to mid-September, 291 from mid-September to mid-October, 45 from mid-October to mid-November and 275 faced charges of breaking traffic rules from mid-November to mid-December.
