Pokhara, August 3:

One of the two youths, who was swept away by the Bijaypur river this afternoon, died while he was undergoing treatment at the Pokhara-based Western Regional Hospital.

The dead has been identified as 18-year-old Dawa Tamang of Hetaunda.

Sixteen-year-old Sagar Bhandari of Prithvi Chowk, Pokhara, has been undergoing treatment in the hospital. Locals and police had rescued the two from the river.

Bhandari is out of danger, the hospital said. Tamang was a helper in a microbus.
