2 rhino calves rescued
CHITWAN: Two baby rhinos, which were found injured in the Chitwan National Park (CNP), have been rescued.
According to the CNP Assistant Conservation Officer, Narendra Aryal, one of the rhinos rescued from Meghauli is eight-month-old.
Similarly, another rhino rescued from Amaltari is one-month-old.
He added that both the calves are male.
The rescued rhinos have been kept in Sauraha for treatment.
According to veterinarian Kamal Gaire, they might have been attacked by a tiger.
Gaire added that the eight-month-old might be the child of a rhino which was electrocuted on August 8.
