BHAKTAPUR: Two children drowned in various places of Bhaktapur district on Monday.

Jagat Tamang's two-year-old son, Anil, of Mangaltaar, Kavre, currently living at Nagpokhari in Bhaktapur Municipality – 4 drowned in a pond yesterday evening.

Anil, who was rescued in a critical condition, breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Siddhi Memorial Hospital, police said.

In another incident, Ekadashi Pyatha's five – year – old son, Aryan, drowned in an underground water tank at Kamalbinayak of Bhaktapur Municipality – 3.

Aryan died on the way to the Madhyapur Hospital for treatment, according to police.
