DOTI: Two children were electrocuted in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality of Doti district on Monday morning.

Four other persons sustained injuries due to the electric shock.

The deceased have been identified as Roji Aauji (10) and Reshma Aauji (8), daughters of local Ganesh Aauji from Padari, Dipayal Silgadhi-14.

Other four injured - identified as Kaalu Aauji (10), Ishwora Aauji (8), Santu Aauji (10) and Sita Aauji (8) – have been taken to the District Hospital, Silgadhi for treatment.

The incident is said to have taken place when the girls walking to the school came into contact with an uninsulated electrical wire that had snapped and fallen on the road.

Meanwhile, kin of the victims have refused to collect the bodies demanding compensation from the authorities.
