2 held for banking fraud in Rautahat
RAUTAHAT: Police in Rautahat district on Thursday arrested two persons with 27 ATM cards of different banks and Rs 577,000 cash, from the Foreign Goods area in the district headquarters Gaur.
Police suspected that they were involved in banking fraud.
Acting on a tip-off, a team deployed from the District Police Office arrested Sunil Sah and Purushottam Sah of Dharahari VDC-8 and Dharahari-4 respectively, for possessing the cash and the ATM cards, according to Inspector Ashok Jha at the Office.
The duo would be handed over to Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) for necessary action after police would conclude the investigation, said Inspector Jha.
