POKHARA: Two persons were killed and three other sustained injuries after a truck they were traveling on skidded off the road and fell some 200 metres down the road at Malungwa in Galyang Municipality-1 on Friday.

Western Regional Police Office identified the deceased as 70-year-old Janaki Thapa of Bardganga Municipality-2 in Kapilvastu district and 60-year-old Krishna Bahadur Dulal Thapa of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-14.

The ill fated truck (Na 3 Kha 5546) heading to Butwal from Pokhara met with an accident at Malungwa along the Siddhartha Highway in Syangja district this afternoon.

Meanwhile, the injured are undergoing treatment at the Parbas Medical College in Palpa district, according to police.
