RUKUM: Two persons died and three others were injured when a mini-truck they were travelling in met with an accident at Ratapahar in Rukumkot-9 of Rukum district on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as mini-truck driver Lal Bir BK of Shivarat, Salyan and Sapana Sunar of Marowang-3.

Purnima Sunar of Marowang-3, Arjun BK of Salyan and Kamal BK of Syalakhadi, Rukum were injured in the incident.

It has been learned that they are undergoing treatment at a local health post.

Police said that the incident occurred after the mini-truck (Ba 1 Kha 9691) skidded of the road and fell some 1000 metres down at around 5 am today.

The reason behind the accident is yet to be established.
