KATHMANDU: At least two persons were killed when a jeep plunged into the Mahakali River at Masinee Baluwa in Api Municipality of Darchula district on Tuesday.

According to the District Police Office, Darchula, there were six persons on board the ill-fated jeep (Ma 1 Ja 140) when the incident occurred at around 4:30 pm.

Nepal Police personnel and locals are carrying out rescue operation.
