MAHOTTARI: Mahottari locals on Friday rescued two teenagers being forced into marriage from Phulkaha of the district.

A joint team of Child Welfare and Promotion Committee of Bhaktapur, Community Welfare Society of Mahottari, Mahottari police and journalists rescued the minors from the house of local Laxman Chaudhary.

The teenagers were kept at the house of Chaudhary for the past one month.

Police Inspector Shambhu Pokharel informed that the minors are currently at the Area Police Office, Gaushala.

Police are searching for the suspects involved in the social crime.
