BHIMDUTTANAGAR: The Maiti Nepal in Kanchanpur on Saturday rescued two women being trafficked to Oman via New Delhi of India, from Gaddhachauki.
The women – aged 26 and 29 from Sunsari and Kaski respectively – were rescued from the western border point, said Maheshwori Bhatta, Coordinator at the Maiti Nepal in Kanchanpur.
Bhatta informed that they were rescued from a bus (Na 5 Kha 897) en route to Delhi from Kathmandu.
The women without passports or visas are suspected to have been enticed by the traffickers with the prospect of foreign employment.
