20-point demand ‘ignored’
Itahari, January 9:
Advisor to Nepal Adibasi Janajati Mahasangh, Dr Om Gurung, said that they would begin an agitation to disrupt the CA election if the 20-point agreement reached with them is not implemented soon.
Speaking at a function in Itahari today, Gurung said, “The government is thinking that it has done a big thing by providing a public holiday in our festivals which is not our targeted goal. He said they are still demanding a full proportional electoral system in the CA polls .
Stating that the third amendment of the statute has not addressed their demand, Gurung accused the government of ignoring their demands. He said, “The government has not been successful to do the needful for the CA polls. The election will never be successful until t a new government that represents all loktantrik powers is formed.”
