22 flood affected families get material support in Morang

URLABARI: Twenty-two flood affected families of Belbari Municipality-1 and Kerabari Rural Municipality-9 of Morang district have been provided with cotton quilts, mosquito nets, woolen caps, and socks today.

These goods were provided to the families that have been compelled to live in freezing cold, with the support of Barsha Nepal, Eastern region, in coordination with Mayalu Haat Morang, a local organisation.

The families were displaced after Lohandra river flooded and swept their houses during the rainy season, said Coordinator of Mayalu Haat, Sunita Tiwari Humagain.

The goods were provided to 10 families of Belbari-1 and 12 families of Kerabari-9. The woolen caps and socks were especially distributed for the children.
