Ammunition found in Pokhara

KATHMANDU: Police said a cache of abandoned ammunition was found in a river near Phew Lake in the tourist city of Pokhara on Saturday.

According to the Kaski District Police Office, 24 bullets (7.62mm) for the Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) and two bullets (9mm) for pistol were recovered while cleaning the Phirke River in Pokhara Municipality this morning.

The bullets were in a blue bag.

Police said they are looking into the case.
