CHITWAN: The District Administration Office, Chitwan has filed names of 26 construction companies to the Home Ministry after they left works of 38 different projects incomplete. DAO filed the report on Monday after Home Ministry sought details of the contractors.

According to Chief District Officer, Jitendra Basnet, the report has enlisted companies who failed to finish construction within given time and companies who have not been granted a deadline extension.

However, the DAO has not reported names of contractors who acquired multiple extensions. Moreover, the list does not contain names of contractors who have received construction contracts for projects under local level’s purview.

Out of the 26 contractors, 11 are from Chitwan and others are located at Dhading and Kathmandu.
