3 including Swiss pedestrian hurt as motorcycle rams into car in Pokhara

POKHARA: Police said three persons, two motorcyclists and a Swiss national were hurt after a speeding car collided with a motorcycle before knocking pedestrian in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City, on Tuesday.

The incident happened after the car (Ga 2 Cha 3305) collided head-on with a bike (Ga 4 Pa 6449) at Lakeside this afternoon, according to police.

Police said motorcyclist 34-year-old Kaji Gurung and pillion rider Gautam Gurung of Malepatan in the Metropolis were hurt in the accident.

Similarly, police said 26-year-old Swiss national Lara Amy Lynne Bernard with passport numbered X 0529998 was also hurt in the incident.

Police informed Bernard was hit by a motorcycle, which was rammed by a car, while walking along roadside in the touristic area of the Lake city.

Meanwhile, Bernard is receiving treatment at the CIWEC Medical while the two others are undergoing treatment at the MetroCity Hospital in the Lake City.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the vehicle and rounded its driver for investigation.
