DAMAULI: As many as three persons were injured after an ambulance carrying patient struck a motorcycle in Byas Municipality-2 in Tanahun district on Thursday.

The injured have been identified as motorcyclist  Khem Gurung (20),  and pillion rider Ridan Gurung (25), both residents of  Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City-13 in Kaski district and ambulance driver Sonam Husein (20) of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-5 in Chitwan district.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the incident occurred when the ambulance (Ga 2 Cha 1830) en route from Dumre to Pokhara struck the motorcycle (Ga 7 Pa 4473) near Sahid Gate today, injuring the trio.

The injured were rushed to the Damauli-based Ratnahari Hospital where they are undergoing treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
