3 killed, 20 injured in Dhading bus accident
KATHMANDU: Three persons were killed and at least 20 other persons sustained injuries after a bus they were travelling on skidded off the road and fell some 200 metres down the road at Bhakarekhola in Dhading district, on Sunday.
A passenger bus (Ga 1 Kha 3405) with 30 people on board was heading to Khahare in Dhading district from Kathmandu along the Dhadingbensi-Salyantar road section in Nilkantha Municipality-11.
Meanwhile, security personnel have reached the site to carry out a rescue operation.
It has been learned that the victims have been sent to the Dhadingbesi-based District Hospital for treatment.
Among casualties, two died on the spot while one succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at the district hospital, according to Dhading District Police Office.
Police have identified the two deceased persons as 40-year old Laxmi Simkhada and 62-year-old Purna Devi Pandey.
While the identity of the other deceased is yet to be ascertained.
