Three persons have died and 33 others injured in two separate road accidents in Palpa since Sunday.

In Jhiruwas-7, three persons died and six others were seriously injured when a jeep bound for Palpa Rampur from Dharke veered off the road at Lakuri Bhanjyang along the Rampur-Jhirubas road at midnight. The vehicle fell some 500 metres down the road. The deceased have been identified as Gunarajsingh Thakuri, 19, and Dhan Bahadur Pata, 20, and 22-year-old Yuvraj Khamcha of Jhirubas-6. According to the police, the seriously injured are undergoing treatment at Lambini Hospital of the district.

Elsewhere in the district, 28 persons were injured when a commuter bus met with an accident at Kudapani in Ardhali-1 today morning. The bus was heading for Butwal from Gulmi.
