DAMAULI: A woman and two of her children were injured in a jeep accident at Byas Municipality-10, Tanahun, on Tuesday.

The injured have been identified as Sunita Tiwari (23) from Ku VDC of Myagdi, her three-year-old son Sushashan and one-and-half-year-old daughter.

They are currently being treated at the Ratnahari Hospital in Damauli, informed the District Police Office, Tanahun.

Police said the jeep (Ga 2 Cha 2014), which was ferrying chicken, fell some 20 metres off the road near the bridge over Madi River. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.

Poultry worth thousands of rupees was destroyed in the incident.

The driver, Gagan Karki, has been taken under control for further investigation, police added.
