DAMAULI: As many as 34 passengers were hurt after a bus they were travelling on hit a tractor and skidded off the road at Amreni along the Prithvi Highway of Byas Municipality in Tahanun district on Wednesday.

The high-speed passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 470) heading to Pokhara from Muglin of Chitwan district had hit the tractor (Lu 3 Ta 2841) coming from the opposite direction and fell onto a paddy field down the road, according to the  Tanahun District Police Office.

Meanwhile, the injured are receiving treatment at Pokhara-based medical facilities.

DSP Gyanendra Thapa said the bus driver Kapil Bahadur Bhujel has been detained for further investigation.
