35 households displaced in Dhading village landslide

DHADING: At least 35 households were displaced after the monsoon triggered landslips continued to occur at Hindung village, in the northern part of Dhading, on Monday.

Similarly, a house belonging to Chhiring Tamang was swept away by the landslide at Ruby Valley Rural Municipality-4 in the district, said police.

Locals are having sleepless night after the hill was on the verge of collapse. They have started shifting to some safer places, added police.

A swollen river that passes through the village can gush into the settlement anytime, said locals.

Meanwhile, the Hindung Primary School and Hindung Health Post have shut due to the high risk of landslide in the area.

Other areas of Dhading, however, have no risk of landslides so far.
