4 forest officials suspended

Dhangadhi, October 30:

District Forest Office, Kailali, on Monday suspended four forest officials, including a ranger, for stealing freshy felled trees from Dhurajanna Jungle of Urma Village Development Committee ward no 7, Kailali, and 683 cubic feet timbers from the timber depo.

Ranger of Phulbari Range Post, Santosh Yadav, forest guards Hariprasad Chaudhary, Lekhnath Niraula and Dev Prasad KC have been suspended for stealing fresh trees and timber during the Dashain holidays, said Hemraj Bista, assistant forest officer. Bista said that the four forest officials were suspended by District Forest Officer Man Bahadur Khadka as per the provisions in Clause 64 (1) A of Civil Servants’ Acts and that they would be punished accordingly.
