BHIMDUTTANAGAR: Four persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in timber smuggling from Sukhadghat, Baisebichuwa VDC-1 of Kanchanpur district.

The suspects have been identified as  Sojit Tamang of Punarbas-11, Ram Bahadur Gurung and Milan Rana of Punarbas -7 and Narayan Rana of Shankarpur-1.

They were preparing to load the timber onto a cart when the forest guards caught them.

A country-made pistol and two bullets were confiscated from their possession, the Area Forest Office, Nauranga, said.
