PHIDIM: Three persons were taken ill after consuming wild mushroom in Yangnam-2 of Panchthar district on Sunday.

As many as five persons were reported dead due to the consumption of poisonous mushroom in past one week in the district.

The three were taken ill yesterday evening and rushed to the District Hospital. The Hospital, however, referred them to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

They have been identified as Tikaram Magar (51), Ganesh Magar (20) and Ramesh Magar (18) of Yangnam-2.
