5 students with visual impairment appear for SEE in Dhading

DHADING: Five students with visual impairment of Janajagriti Secondary School, Dhading are appearing for SEE examinations this year.

According to teacher at the secondary school Ram Chandra Rupakheti, Shyam Gaire, Dinesh Lal Shrestha, Sangita Ghale, Om Kumari Tamang and Sita Ale, are appearing for the exams from the centre, Mahakali Secondary School.

Since there is no provision of providing separate question papers for the visually impaired students, they are allowed to take someone who will write the exams on their behalf. Rupakheti added that every visually impaired student who appeared for SEE in the past from the school had cleared the exams.

In the past seven years, nine visually impaired students passed SEE from Janajagriti Secondary School. According to Education Development and Coordination Unit Office, Dhading, 5,898 students have appeared for SEE examinations from Dhading district.
