BESISAHAR, LAMJUNG: Owing to the ineffective voters' education, about 5,000 votes were found invalid in the Lamjung district.

The office of the Chief Returning Officer informed that 4,937 votes were found invalid during the vote count for the members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly (PA).

Out of 77,164 votes cast for the member of the HoR, 2,585 were found invalid.

Similarly, out of 36,871 votes cast for provincial election 'A', 1,474 were cast unacceptable. In case of the provincial election 'B', there were 878 cast worthless.

The District Election Office has admitted that voters' education programmes were not held as per the election schedule.
