BARA: A police team from the District Police Office of Bara, today, arrested 52 persons on the charge of electricity leakage.

At the request of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Kalaiya Distribution Centre, a team of police along with NEA officials have taken the situation under control from Mahangadhimai Municipality-4, 5, 6, 8 and 11 of Bara district.

Reportedly, there are many cases of massive power theft in villages like Dahiyaar, Bagadampur, Malahani, and Babuaain in the aforementioned wards of the municipality, for a very long time now.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ranjit Singh Rathore informed that further investigation is underway.
