KATHMANDU: At least six persons died and 12 others injured after the bus carrying them came in contact with a live 11kv wire at Sabaila Municipality-4 in Dhanusa district, police said.

According to Dhanusa District Police Office, the bus (Na 5 Kha 1752) ferrying wedding attendees from Dudauli Municipality in Sindhuli district touched the live wire this evening.

The incident occurred after a box placed on the roof of the bus came in contact with the live wire, police said. Meanwhile, the injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
